Before You Book
What genres of photography will you accept? What will you turn away?
Our studio accepts primarily romantic portraiture & events: weddings, engagement, couples, vow renewals, & elopements. However we certainly adore the diversity of our jobs when a family, birth, or a senior shoot graces our schedule!
Our wedding clients are always wildly unique; we love them that way! We cater to events both large & small, so if you have an intimate wedding OR a large celebration, we are happy to speak with you to create custom packages for your unique needs.
We absolutely adore elopement weddings and have recently begun to travel more for those. We love the intimacy of them and the fact that we get to spend most of our time with just the bride and groom. Couples are left with many more photos of the two of them than traditional weddings.
What areas & venues do you service?
Our couples are often from around East Tennessee; Knoxville, Maryville, Alcoa, Lenoir City, Crossville, Cookeville, Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Townsend, Loudon, Harriman, Rockwood, & Farragut, TN.
We LOVE working with our amazing wedding venues & various vendors. If you’re curious about on who’s on our “rave list,” please explore our vendor love page. We commonly frequent The Whitestone Country Inn (Kingston, TN), The Foundry (Knoxville, TN), Sampson’s Hollow (Walland), & Calhoun’s Banquets and Catering (Gatlinburg). If you’re still tossing around ideas on where to have your wedding or event, they’re the best!
What elements of your studio make you a true professional?
There are so many parts of being a professional photographer. Answering this question from the ground up, the first thing you’ll see is that we love what we do & we truly believe in why we do it. Being a professional wedding photographer is not only about making a living, it’s also about loving love. We are a licensed business; we have accounting pros who keep us legal and help us to keep our taxes paid. We also believe in continuing our education, learning new techniques and honing our skills to help keep us at the top of the business.
You will always receive two professional photographers for your wedding. This is a professional standard, so that two eyes are always on every important moment from different angles. Each photographer will also have multiple cameras. Your day is safe in our hands.
Lastly, we hold our product to a high standard. You will be shown edited images at the end of your wedding. We do not believe in handing over “straight off camera” or unedited images. We believe in giving your images a touch of TLC to truly make them shine. We do not heavily retouch images, as we believe you are beautiful just he way you are, however, if you have a concern about something specific, we are happy to talk with you about it!
At Your Wedding
What’s in your camera bag?
Inside our camera bags you will find a minimum of two full frame camera bodies per photographer. You will find prime lenses – perfect for capturing portraiture with a creamy blurry background (depth of field). You will also find appropriate zoom lenses for capturing your ceremony from whatever distance we need to be placed. Having multiple cameras, multiple lenses, and multiple flashes mean that in the event of camera malfunction, any problems will NOT ruin your day. We trust ourselves & you should too!
What lighting do you work with?
We work with both natural light & auxiliary light (both on camera flash and off camera light). We respond appropriately to the environment around us.
